Sunreef Mooloolaba is the longest established dive centre in the region, and the largest dive centre in South East Queensland.
Sunreef Mooloolaba offers Australia’s first Swim with Humpback Whales experience, from July to October each year, as well as local reef dives, snorkelling trips and diving on the ex-HMAS Brisbane.
A 5-Star PADI Training Centre, we  offers accredited dive courses for all levels of divers and plan and guide international dive trips and travel as well as dive equipment sales and servicing.

Swim with Humpback Whales

Experience Australia’s first Swim with Humpback Whales encounters with Sunreef Mooloolaba.
Join us aboard one of our comfortable vessels and travel in search of these gentle giants. Once a whale is sighted, the boat is put into neutral 100m or more away from the whale, and if conditions are deemed safe by our trained crew, a guide will lead swimmers into the water with a floating safety line attached to the boat.
This experience is 100% on the Whales’ terms and sparks their curiosity, with whales often swimming closer to see who is hanging out in their domain. Even if you don’t get to swim with the whales, it is an intimate whale watching experience, and guests are of course welcome just to whale watch if they don’t want to swim, at the same cost. These tours are seasonal from July to October - call Dive Centre to check dates & availability.

HMAS Brisbane

Dive one the World’s best Wrecks, the ex-HMAS Brisbane. A decommissioned guided missile destroyer, she was scuttled just 2.9 nautical miles off the Sunshine Coast more than ten years ago.  This makes it a easy venture out and is available to dive all year round.
Sunreef has exclusive use of the two midship moorings, so in a double dive you can visit the entire wreck comfortably.
Explore the outside of the wreck and encounter the abundance of local aquatic sea life that inhabits her. Then explore within the ship, enter the engine room or even visit the control room where her kill switches are still in tact.

Flinders Reef

Flinders Reef is one of the most beautiful dive sites in Queensland. Haled by divers and snorkellers alike for its pristine conditions and stunning visibility year round.
Flinders Reef is known for the abundance of different species of Turtles, which inhabit the entire reef system. If beautiful coral reefs are your idea of the perfect dive, look no further. It has the highest number of coral species of any sub tropical reef system along Australia’s East Coast.
Swim throughs and pinnacles are scattered throughout this reef with something new to discover each time. Sunreef is the only company on the Sunshine Coast currently offering full 60-minute dives at stunning Flinders Reef.
